My Personal bike. 2015 Norton 961 Cafe Racer, Norton, the most recognisable name in Motorcycling. The first ever Isle of Man TT races took place in May 1907 over 10 laps of the 15 mile Short Course St. John’s to St. John’s via Ballacraine. The two-cylinder race was won by Rem Fowler on a Norton. Last year the revived company went bust in a blaze of controversy. The company has now been bought out and production re-started in a new purpose built factory in Solihull UK. The last ever 961 Commando’s will be built at the new factory as a limited run of 40 bikes and then Norton will concentrate on their new V4 and 650 twin engined machines. The 961 Commando’s are a legacy to the original Commando design, built with a completely new chassis and using the best suspension and braking components form Brembo and Ohlins.
This one owner 961 Cafe Racer is in immaculate condition, has just been serviced in our service dept and fitted with new Pirelli Diablo Corsa tyres and factory modifications to the engine breather. My personal bike, I have ordered one of the last 40 bikes to come from Norton so this one is for sale. It rides and runs great, I have had so much fun, the open pipes sound great and with no Cat or ABS the bike is the real deal Cafe Racer. A great investment or weekend rider these bikes are guaranteed to put a smile on your dial.
